BSc Business Computing
This interdisciplinary degree blends the vastness of Information Technologies (electronic office databases, programming, databases, and the internet) alongside the most fundamental areas of Business (management, marketing, accounting, economics and law). The graduates will have the understanding and skills necessary to analyze getboardroom.net/logitech-g203-software-review information needs and understand business functions in order to develop information systems.
You'll discover how to recognize intuitively, through a combination of theory and practical experience the dynamic mixture of processes required by information delivery systems to fulfil their roles in an organisation. You'll also be able to recognise that an organisation is is constantly evolving and changing, and how the systems for information of that organization must be able to adapt to these changes and new demands and requirements from users.
In your second year, you'll sharpen your IT and computing skills by participating in workshops and projects. Our academics will share their research expertise with students, and you'll get the opportunity to participate in an industrial placement year where you'll put the new skills you've learned in a real-world context.
Our curriculum is focused on the most current technological advancements, and we focus on the application of emerging technologies in business. You will be able to pick from a broad range of courses that include Big Data Analytics, Informatics Strategy and Management and e-Business Technology. The course is augmented by regular guest speakers from renowned firms who will demonstrate the real-world relevance of the subject that you're studying and the opportunities for our graduates.
